The Summer of 1995 I interned for Newsday. One of my projects of the summer was to photograph Harlem Midnight Basketball. Other programs like it had been initiated in Philadelphia, Chicago and other major cities in the country but this was New York's first time. The idea of the program was to give the youth of New York City something to do after dark.
